ACHIEVEMENTS

Result: I am feeling elated to share with you that Darrick International school produced 100%result in CBSE board exams class X. In different subjects students scored 90 and above as well.

Abacus as a Key Feature of the School

Abacus was introduced in Darrick International school in 2018 and we have successfully completed its first level last year, in which students know about the terminology of Abacus and they came to know about the beads of the abacus and how to perform counting, addition and subtraction with the help of abacus. Now this year we have reached the second level of the Abacus. Recently 35 Students have participated in the state level competition and _____ students are the winners of this competition will be going with their parents to attend the award ceremony to be organized at Lovely Professional University by Ignited Brainz.

Language Lab Updated with Words Worth Software :

Darrick International School, Banga updated its Language Lab on 3^rd May, 2019 with Words Worth Software of English learning. Words Worth English Language lab is designed to develop English language proficiency among the learners of English as a second language that prepares the students to communicate with clarity and confidence. A special period has been incorporated in the time table for every class to visit Language Lab regularly.  Each implementation is meticulously executed providing the institution with product and results.

Campaign on Swash Bharat Abhiyan:

Darrick International School, Banga has two big projects this year eg. Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan , “School Se Sarhad Tak” . According to that the first one is Cleanliness Drive under Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan Programme on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. The main purpose of this programme was to create awareness among the people regarding Cleanliness.  Under this programme, all the Students from 3rd to 12th participated. Even teachers were the essential part of this drive. Dr. Sukhwinder Singh Sukhi, MLA, Banga was very kind to grace the campaign with flag off ceremony. Students were holding the banners and placards on the theme Swach Bharat Abhiyan and reciting the slogan to create awareness among the masses. The second very significant project was  “School Se Sarhad Tak” under this all the students of Darrick International made cards and thanks letters to the soldiers to show the love and gratitude for them. Because they are the real heroes.

WORKSHOPS :

In order to become a truly great teacher, one must go beyond the textbook and attend workshops and ongoing educational  courses. Workshops and seminars to enrich the teacher is the regular feature of Darrick International School. This year we had special workshop on Effective teaching, Problem Solving, Creative Classroom Management. Workshop will be arranged for students on Inter-personal relationship, Carrere Counseling, Visit to University campus etc. Special workshop on parenting will also be organized in the month of May 2020 during summer camp.

I would like to bring into your notice as last year I announced that our school is associated with British Council. We have started sending the detailed activities, performance of our students as per the direction of the British Council. The main focus of the British Council is to bring the societal awareness among the students, exposore at global level, exchange programme and live discussions with the students of the others countries is in schedule during the month of April and May. And the other thing which I want to share with you that Darrick International school has now become Microsoft Inspired School which helps in collaborative classrooms, connect in professional learning communities, and connect with colleagues – all In a single platform. With teams application students, teachers, and staff can seamlessly work together, create content, and share resources. All concerned parents organize and track each class assignments and grades directly from a class team. So very proudly I can say that now British Council and Microsoft are the academic partners of Darrick International School.

38 Medals won by Darrickians in Interschool Karate Championship:

II Getokokai Inter school karate Championship was held at  S.N. College Banga and Darrick International school , Banga won 38 medals, which comprised of 4 Gold, 11 silver and 23 Bronze . I am profusely elated to announce that there is one more achievement recently achieved by Darricikans on 3^rd November, 2019 which was at international level   where our Shining stars got Gold medals in North India Karate Championship held at Talwara  and  I am feeling very proud  to  announcing  the names of those students Khuswinder Singh of class VII, Sukaranvir Singh of class  VII, Tanvir Singh of class VII,  Arvind Singh Mann of class VI,  Prabhjot Singh of class VI  and Nishant Kumar of class VI.

Darrick International school ranks among top schools of the country consequently for two years:

Darrick International Senior Secondary School has been rated 1st in the City of Banga, 48^th in the State of Punjab and 362th  at All India Level School Ranking by the renowned magazine “EDUCATION WORLD”, for the year 2019-20 at Leela Ambience Gurgaon, which is certainly a big achievement.

Best School Using Hands on Practice Award:

“The best way to predict your future is to create it” and it has been proved, Darrick International school, Banga was adjudged as “ BEST SCHOOL USING HANDS ON PRACTICE” during  “INTERNATINAL SCHOOL AWARDS 2018” on 21^st December, 2018 held at Meridian Hotel  conference centre Dubai. Mrs, Neena Bhardwaj , was got the opportunity to  conferred by Dr. Attual Wahidyar, Senior Advisor, Ministry of Education, Afghanistan with this prestigious award.
